The Korean Consulate will notarize Only the fingerprints Criminal Record Check
(must be stamped by the Korean consulate in your jurisdiction less than 6 months).
Doesn't need to be notarized by the Notary Public before notarization by the Korean Consulate.
*Passport, Diploma, Criminal Record Check must have the Same Name on them.
-IF your documents miss your middle name,
you will need to submit an identification with a photo card from the government.
-IF your Criminal Record Check does not contain your middle name but Passport does,
then you Must get a New Criminal Record Check with your name same as on your passport.
*Please always save a copy of notarized files.
If a Criminal Record Check is required as part of your visa application,
you must receive it through a fingerprinting company accredited only by RCMP in our jurisdiction(Ottawa and Gatineau)
Name-based Criminal Record Checks will NOT meet the requirements of a Korean visa application.
* If you would like to keep the original for your records or for submission to the Korean Immigration upon arrival to Korea
(i.e. for the purpose of obtaining your Overseas Korean Resident Card),
please also bring a photocopy of your Criminal Record Check and request the original back at the time of application.
※Authentication from Global Affairs Canada is mandatory for Criminal Record Check Confirmation.
* Original certificate should have a RCMP seal on it.
> By a Third party (If currently residing in Korea)
1. If you currently reside in Korea, you must apply through a representative who resides in our jurisdiction(Ottawa and Gatineau).
2. The following additional documents will also need to be submitted
* a permission letter(signed and dated by the applicant) allowing a chosen representative to act on your behalf
* a photo ID of the representative
* plus the required documents mentioned above for criminal background check verification
