✔Request additional apostilled copies: Inform the immigration office when you visit that you need additional apostilled copies of your degree and criminal background check. if they do not understand about it, please ask about "즉시정보공개청구"
-You are engaged by an individual employer who has gone through the immigration process (E-2-1), and because you have already filed your documents to apply for your E2 visa, the immigration office has a copy of them on file. You can officially request that those documents be released by a local office. They will provide you with a photocopy of your criminal background check and a degree along with this official cover page titled 'Immediate Disclosure.'
-If you are engaged by the Superintendent of Ministry of Education through EPIK, SMOE, or other public school programs (E-2-2), there is a chance that the local immigration office does not have your criminal background check and a degree certificate. In this instance, you can request that your documents be released from the local Education office.
When you request this form, they will place a red mark called "original verification (원본대조필)" on the photocopy of your documents.

✔Remember to obtain the certificate of alien registration (you can get a paper/Receive the receipt) to registering for Education office work.

When changing jobs in South Korea as an E-2 visa holder, you will need to visit the immigration office to update your employment information. Here are the general steps to follow:

 - Employment contract from your new employer.

 - A release letter or employment termination certificate from your previous employer. this needed if you don't finished contract.

 - Application form [34] : Complete the Alien Registration Card application form.

 - Occupation and annual income report - self check form. If you have previous job experience in Korea, you will need to obtain income withholding tax certification.

 - Alterations or additions to the employment location report

 - Any other documents required by the immigration office (this may vary depending on your specific situation).

 - Letter of confirmation of house leasing and agreement.


Visit the immigration office: On the designated date and time (if applicable), go to the immigration office. Bring all the necessary documents with you. It's advisable to arrive at the immigration office early

Submit the required documents: Present your documents to the immigration officer at the designated counter. They will review your paperwork and update your employment information in their system.

Pay the applicable fees: If there are any fees, the immigration officer will inform you of the amount and accepted payment methods. Pay the fees as instructed.

Receive the updated ARC: Once your information has been updated, the immigration officer will provide you with a new certificate of alien registration or an updated ARC sticker to affix to your passport.
