1. General Information
o F-4 Overseas Korean visa is a 5 years multiple entry visa with sojourn period of 2 years.
- The F-4 Visa holder should apply for a Resident Card(거소증) at the local immigration office in Korea within 90 days of his entry.
o F-4 Overseas Korean visa holder is not allowed to get a job in the field of simple labor service or activities against virtuous public customs.
2. Ineligibility
o A Korean male who formally renounced Korean nationality after May 1st, 2018 without performing Korean military service.
He will not be able to obtain F-4 visa until the year he turns 41 years old.
o A Korean male who became a naturalized citizen of another country after May 1st, 2018 without performing Korean military service.
He will not be able to obtain F-4 visa until the year he turns 41 years old.
o A person who has violated the Korean Immigration Law in the past 3 years and charged with fines ￦7,000,000 altogether.
o A person who has been sentenced to jail in the past 5 years.
3. Eligibility to apply (Check the list)
4. Submission & collection hours : Monday to Friday excluding public holidays
5. Processing time: 4 to 14 working days or more. No urgent or express service.

-Online : E-application is available on 하이코리아 "hikorea.go.kr". Submit it along with the high quality scans required documents and pay a filing process fee.
-In-person : Visit the General affairs division of the city/county/district office.
Fill out the application form that they have there and submit it along with the other documents and pay a filing process fee.

3. Residence registration card (거소신고증), Domestic residence report fact certificate(거소신고증명서).

그밖의 장기비자 소지자는 90일 이내에 출입국·외국인청에 거소신고를 하시고 외국인등록증(Alien Registration Card)을 발급받으시기 바랍니다.
유효한 재외동포(F-4) 거소증 소지자는 입국시 최대 2년 체류 가능하고 매번 입국시 별도의 비자 신청 없이 거소증으로 출·입국이 가능합니다.

처리가긴 : 즉시 (근무시간 내 3시간)
