If you’re an E-2, E-7, etc holders,
non-F visa holder preparing to leave Korea, please review the following steps carefully:
``Check the validity of your ARC (backside for expiry date).
``Will you return within the validity period?
If yes, confirm with the immigration office (+82-1345) before leaving, as policies may change without notice.
``Will you return after the ARC expires?
In this case, you must apply for a D-10 job-seeking visa before leaving.
Note that the D-10 visa does not process in one day. Allow sufficient time to complete your employment contract and apply for the D-10 visa before departure.
``If your ARC is already expired, you don’t have a D visa, and your current employment contract has ended:
A new visa invitation will be required from a future employer.
Example:
ARC expiry: 2022.09.30
Departure: 2022.09.28
Planned re-entry: 2022.11.01
Without a D visa, your ARC becomes invalid after expiry, and re-entry will not be permitted.
In this situation, ensure you receive a visa invitation at least 6–7 weeks prior to your intended return.
